2017 was a year that was difficult for so many people. For Americans, it was a politically turbulent year, and in Hollywood, it seemed like news of assaults was constant. Even though plenty of good things happened this year, too, most people aren’t too disappointed to say goodbye. And the best news of all? It seems like 2018 is shaping up to be a way better year than the one we all just experienced. Here’s what you have to look forward to when January 1, 2018 rolls around — and this is just the beginning of the possibilities the future holds.
The Winter Olympics
In February, the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics will kick off in Korea, offering fans more than two straight weeks of sports competitions like curling, skiing, luge, and bobsledding. Oh, and obviously, the best of all of these: ice skating. TV will never be better, folks, so get ready to spend countless nights in your living room, drinking hot cocoa and watching people with seriously crazy athletic skills compete against each other in the freezing cold. It’s going to be so much fun, even for those of us who aren’t athletically inclined… and they’ll air just in time to distract all of us from how very tired we’re getting of winter.
